Week of 5/17/21

Sister Phoebe’s Enjoyment:

1 Timothy 4:12 – “Let no one despise your youth, but be a pattern to the believers in word, in conduct, in faith, in purity.”

  • Nehemiah trusted and feared God
  • We have to be faithful in whatever task the Lord has given us today
  • Nehemiah was considerate and honorable to his people
  • Nehemiah put the Lord’s interest first!

James 1:22 – “And become doers of the word and not hearers only, who delude themselves.”

  • We need to coordinate with others, work with others
  • Nehemiah had a pure heart

I think that we should all learn from Nehemiah! Amen!

Sister Ellie’s Enjoyment:

Things to know:

-To be a leader you don’t have to have a high name, you have to be honorable and useful to God’s purpose.

-Fulfill your duties to be a leader and carry out God’s purpose. Be faithful and trustworthy, and set an example for others. Even if we’re not always in the position we want, it’s still important to be faithful.

-Put the Lord’s interest before yours in order to fulfill God’s purpose. Bring others to help with your goals and do whatever is necessary to complete them.

-Leaders lead by example, not by word. If you want others to do something then set an example and do it yourself first and create a pattern.

-Bring others to help you out. A good leader brings others with them in the plan
